POW #7

The book I choose to do for my book report is titled Code Orange. It is very interesting and has to do with smallpox. It is about sophomores in a New York high school doing reports on infectious diseases. One kid finds an old book about smallpox that contains an actual scab from the 1902 epidemic. This is all that I can tell you so far. So far I would give this book 4/5 vaccinations. I choose to use vaccinations because it has to do with the topic of my book and that is infectious diseases. I rated the book this way because it is suspenseful, interesting, and fun to read. I don't have any questions for the author because I think this book was very well written. One quote that I think is very important is "I am impressed that you overcame your guards. But your victory lasts only a minute.You will kill your own people for us and we will dance in your streets." This quote is important because the kid is a proud New Yorker and bad people are making him kill innocent people with his disease.

HELP NEEDED

The people of Olathe need a crazy! We have so many traumatic things that happen in this town everyday, so we need someone to make us laugh and put us in a good mood. The requirements for this position include, you have to be out going, kind, hilarious, be willing to make a fool out of your self, and a great singer and dancer. There are many benefits for this job you will discover like, eating at all your favorite restaurants for free, free housing, you will be famous, good income, and get to know some very important people. The people of Olathe are begging you so come help us, PLEASE!

POW #5

First of all I am an animal lover. My first pet I ever had was a minature dachshund named Rosco. He was a good dog but not my favorite. My favorite dog is named Sadie. She is a golden retriver/ lab mix. My parents suprised me with her on my thirteenth birthday. I love having a bigger dog because she is very playful and fun. She does lots of cool stuff like plays fetch, hunts, and does tricks. I have taught her how to sit, shake, laydown, and to roll over. Now we are working on the trick where she balences a treat on her nose and then tosses it up and catches it in her mouth. She sleeps in my room every night. Sadie is the best dog ever.

Dear Brutus

This is your fellow roman and friend Caesar. I have been very stressed these past couple of days and my beautiful wife Calphurnia has noticed. I can’t stop thinking of possible getting the crown and becoming king. She already is mad at me for cheating on her but this is making us even more distant. She tries to talk to me every night but I push her away and say I don’t have time for her right now. She is a mentally strong women and I feel if I keep doing this to her that I might loose her. She does not deserve this but I wish she would just understand that I have a lot on my mind. Please give me advice on what to do.

Dear Caesar

            I know what you are going through, Portia and I are having the same problems. I also have a lot on my mind and I don’t have time for Portia and all of her questions of why I have been acting like this lately. I tell her that I am sick but she knows me to well and knows that something is on my mind all the time. She says I never sleep and never eat and I am always discusted with her when ever she talks. I told her to just wait it out for a couple of days and everything will be back to normal. All the advice I have for you is to sit her down and tell her what is going through your mind. Tell her that it isn’t her fault or anyone else’s, tell her that it is your own problems and that you will figure them out yourself. Also tell her that everything will be back to normal soon.

POW #3

This weekend I saw a commercial using the bandwagon propaganda technique. It was an AT&T commercial that was promoting their 4G network. The message of the commercial was that their network was faster than every other wireless network. The comercial shows a car full of people commuting to work together. They all get sent a funny message but the guy with the AT&T 4G phone recieves the message first and he gets a laugh before everyone else. The narrater of the commercial says, "Don't be left behind get the fastest network AT&T 4G." This is a perfect example of using the bandwagon technique.

POW #2

One of my favorite pictures is one of my two sisters and I. I like this photo because it reminds me of my childhood and how much fun it is to be a kid. There are no worries about homework and you don't have any responsibilities. In this picture my twin Brittany has a blank look on her face, and I am dressed in my usual outfit; boots, blue jeans, white T-shirt, and a hat. My other sister looks like she is looking into the sun and she is holding her favorite stuffed animal, red teddy.
